Our Founder

Meet Vianni

Vianni recalls sitting on the porch and combing the hair of the girls in her neighborhood, instilling positivity and hope in them during chaotic times. God was using her when she was only nine years old.  For many years she attended Sunday school with her great- uncle and aunt, and at night she would attend YPWW. Her transparency allows her to pursue her calling freely, because she knows how God has saved her from following a path of destruction. Vianni’s gift for teaching the Word of God was evident when she taught the Sunday school class for three-year-olds and later college students.  Everything from her years of planning Bible studies with her old friends, to teaching her own children led to this moment. This introverted girl plucked up the courage to start a Bible Study in her area using her own Bible Study. To God be the glory! For God has equipped her for such a time as this. Vianni has a heart to serve at home as a wife and mother. She would say that motherhood is by far the most challenging field in her life. Her motto is: “as long as I teach them the way that they shall go and present Jesus to them, then I did my ultimate duty ‘cause these kids can try me sometimes.”  She also serves her community in the greater city of Houston, Texas as a registered nurse. Most notably, Vianni recently became the author of Worthy to be Healed: A Healing Journey Through Childhood Trauma, Church Hurt & Divorce.

Founder’s Story

As I drew closer to the Lord and responded to the call of God’s will for my life, I attended Bible study and served in the Sunday school ministry at my first church home in Houston. On a typical Sunday, my former First Lady wrote me a check. This written check helped me purchase books for my upcoming semester in nursing school. My former First Lady was unaware of my financial struggles, but God used her in that moment to meet my needs. This written check served as a reminder that no detail of my life goes unnoticed by God.

Let me tell you how that check became a seed planted in me that God watered into Worthy to be Healed Ministries. After becoming a Registered Nurse, I wanted to be a blessing to others just as my former First Lady was to me. This is how the Church is supposed to respond, so that none of us will lack as we continue to serve the Lord with our various gifts. Over the years, God would place a person/family on my heart to bless them by helping with tuition, books, Christmas adoptions, bill payments and etc. All this time I never had a name to what I was doing, but as I approached my midlife purpose, it was time to be “louder” in my ministry. You see, the unhealed version of me didn’t always know my worth. But God revealed to me, that He was and is in every detail of my life and has accounted me as Worthy to be Healed. My prayer for you is that God will meet you right there where you are and show you just how worthy you are. Amen!
